Our test subjects thought it was easy to assemble, and that it looked the most luxurious of our selections. However, it's expensive - especially as you need to purchase an additional mattress - and if you're on a budget there are better alternatives there.

You can also adjust the height of the base by three different settings so that your child won't have to climb out of the bed when they're older.

The only downside of this cot is that you will need to purchase a separate mattress which could increase the cost more than other models we've reviewed. The stunning design and ease of assembly and ability to grow along with your child are all appealing, making this cot worth the investment. Our test subjects thought that this cot would make an excellent addition to any nursery.

The John Lewis Elementary is a great choice for parents who want a chic modern frame that can endure the test of time. It's a bit more expensive than other options we've seen but it includes an adjustable changing table and wardrobe, making it possible to furnish your nursery in one trip. It's also easy to put together, and has three mattress height positions for your baby to grow into. It also has teething rails and an elegantly slidable drawer underneath, so you don't have to lose precious floor space.

You'll need to buy a separate mattress if you want to use this cot bed. Therefore, plan your budget accordingly. A quality mattress can be bought for less than PS100. This is not an enormous expense. The only downside is that you may be unable to find an appropriate fit since the cot has an oval shape. However, there are a variety of types of mattresses that will work for it.
